Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP)

In 2023, the Income Tax Clinic will run from Thursday March 2 to Thursday April 26 (details on times and locations will be posted on Facebook first)

Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP), has been part of the Boundary for the last 10 years. This group, formerly known as People Helping People, has a combined total of 35 years experience filing low income taxes. This service is provided free of charge to eligible individuals to ensure they receive, or continue to receive, their eligible benefits.

It is vital that we all file taxes annually to ensure receipt of eligible benefits such as GST rebates, Child Care credits etc. Our goal is to help our clients get those benefits.

Clinics generally run from the beginning of March to the end of April although we are available to do taxes throughout the year and can help with multiple-year filings.

During COVID, we offered virtual tax clinics by phone, or a combination of phone and drop-off. Following COVID we will continue to offer options suitable for both the volunteer and the client.
